One of two delightful properties situated by the staithe are ideal for a romantic stay or a family holiday. Leave the car behind and enjoy a stroll along the riverbank, go fishing on the river Ant (by licence), hire a day boat at nearby boat yard and enjoy the riverside pubs or a short walk for a drink and a meal at the hotel/restaurant. Stalham is a mile away for shops and for long stretches of sandy beaches at Sea Palling is 4 miles away and a little further to the coastal resorts of Happisburgh and Winterton-on-Sea. Nature reserves at Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere or the 'capital' of the broads Wroxham for river cruises and a small animal farm for the children plus the Bure Valley steam railway.
